In year 1 we have been looking at books by Julia Donaldson. This week we are reading about The Gruffalo.

Here is Carlos doing our Balloon experiment at home!

We decided Spring has Sprung so here we are planting beans. Whose bean will pop through first? Carlos's bean is showing signs of life! Who will grow the biggest bean? Watch this space!!!!

 We had a great time with our ice balloon experiment.

First we filled and weighed our water balloons.

Next day we put them in trays.

We felt them and agreed they were cold!

After that we added some food dye.

We added salt to one set of balloons.

We watched them melt over the day and guess what we discovered?

The salted one.

What a busy phonics group! In Mrs Grant's group we were learning about words with the ou and ow sound.
